If I was ever hitchiking - I don’t think I would be picked up.
My eyes wouldn’t be empty, unless I was insane. my eyes would be angry for having to hitchhike or angry at the cause for my hitchiking.
Happy 3WW!
hahah! Yeah, I think I’d have anger as well. Good call!

I didn’t find that creepy - but then when I read the ‘creepy’ comment and reread the poem it definitley turned into the perspective of an abandoned corpse along the highway!!! Freaky how impressionable we are to others innate visions!! Anyway, great job because you so powerfully evoked so much with so little — that shows excellence!
Yeah, i didnt think creepy either until it was pointed out .. but i like creepy, so it works for me
Excellence .. heh, thank you. I do try

I so shouldn’t read comments before writing my own, because now I’ve reread it so many times thinking about what other people said and I don’t have an original thought left in my head! I see the freaky, I see the attempted suicide, I see tears after being left behind… it made me think that’s for sure!
I don’t always see what everyone else sees. I’m warped a bit I guess. But then, that’s art for you. Everyone sees something different. You do have a talent for evoking many different responses, though Ms. Red! Nice job, as usual.
I like warped.
I’m warped, too
Thanks, Teeni. I like the different responses each week.

it conjures up all sorts visions in my head… something like ive been on the road for hours … stopping by a hotel for the night… staring out the window at the freeway, cars going by… too tired to sleep… sorta in a strange place…
Wow! What a train of thought.
I could totally see that, too.
Red
Creepy. (In a well-written way.)
hah, thanks. I’ll take creepy.
Red
I didn’t find it creepy at all. Lots of images came to mind.
Yup .. it can be taken many different ways.
Method meet madness.

Not as easy as it may seem. Thanks.

I would have thought that your eyes were always wide open.
They are. Wide-ass open.
For once, this isnt about me

~m

thanks for the props
Red
Wow. You put a whole lot into a few words. Funny how one can feel so lonely with so many cars passing by, so many people around.
Now I think I’ll google the lyrics to “Birmingham”
I do try, MrBone ..
couldn’t do it without you!
thank you for the words
